What we have done

Design activities and construction management (EPCM) for the revamping of a 1,5 MWe natural gas fueled trigeneration power plant using motor generators

  • COMPANY
Manucor S.p.A. core business consists in the production of Polypropylene Film for the packaging market. Inside the production site in Sessa Aurunca (CE) there is a trigeneration power plant for the factory service.
  • REQUIREMENT
Revamping of the trigeneration power plant, to improve its performance and reduce production and management costs.
  • SOLUTION
Our work-group has supported the Customer during all the phases of the intervention development, providing EPCM services through the designing of the new installed components systems.

    The services provided include:

    - Project Management
    - Engineering
    - Site Management
    - Commissioning

Support to the Customer Management focused mainly on controlling the operation time and cost, managing suppliers and expediting activities.

The design was developed starting from the actual state analysis of the existing systems and the evaluation of their possible re-use and was completed in the mechanical, electro-instrumental and automation engineering (including changes to the programming of the DCS control system).

In particular the new heat recovery system downstream the motor generators fumes and the improvement activities for hot water pumping and distribution systems have been defined.

The engineering coordination between the different disciplines (including civil engineering) and the various suppliers involved in the project was guaranteed by our work-group.

The revamping activities on cooling towers and absorption refrigeration units were also coordinated on site.

During the construction site phases the Customer was supported by our field staff who carried out the general coordination of activities, both during construction and commissioning, as well as the start-up and testing of the new supplies, performed directly by our technical office personnel.
