What we have done

Services contract for supply of utilities (electricity, steam, chilled water), produced using the newly constructed trigeneration plant fueled by natural gas with a nominal electric power output of approximately 11 MWe.
ESCo mode used for installation.

  • COMPANY
    MEMC Electronic Materials S.p.A. is part of the GW (Global Wafers) group. They transform the ultra-pure monocrystalline silicon rods into reduced-thickness silicon plates for use in the micro-electronics industry in the production of semiconductors such as integrated circuits, memories, microprocessors, etc.
  • REQUIREMENT
    Fulfill requirements for supply and optimization of energy sources required at the Client’s plant, Novara:

    - electric power;
    - saturated steam;
    - hot water converted to chilled water.
  • SOLUTION
    The configuration of the power plant foresaw the implementation of 3 natural gas motor generators, each fitted with its own heat recovery system for the production of steam (intended for use in the plant air conditioning system) and hot water for the production of chilled water via 2 single-phase absorption refrigerator groups.

    The Utilities Production and Supply agreement between CO-VER Power Technology and MEMC Electronic Materials has been extended until 2023.
