  • REQUIREMENT
The new plant is the result of the need to revise the energy structure of the site in order to achieve the efficiency and sustainability goals to which SAPPI has adhered with its "3P’s" project - Prosperity, People, Planet, aimed at accelerating de-carbonisation and increasing the energy and economic efficiency of its plants.
  • SOLUTION
The new plant replaces the existing steam boilers in the paper mill with two cogeneration units and one auxiliary steam generation unit, in line with the following scheme:

    · Section 1 - Centrax CX-300 2S 8.4 Mwe generating unit, with recovery steam generator and post firing
    · Section 2 - Innio J624 GS 4.4 Mwe power-generating module, with steam generator and hot water recovery system
    · Auxiliary steam generating unit (back-up), 2 Bono/Cannon boiler – 17,5 Ton/h each one
