What we have done

"Turn-key" contract for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of the Balance Of Plant (BOP) for a “peak” thermoelectric power station in a Combined Cycle configuration with a nominal power of 59 MW, built at the Sacci cement plant.

  • REQUIREMENT
    Construction of a combined-cycle gas turbine power plant at the Testi site in Greve, Chianti (FI).
  • SOLUTION
    Our company designed a turnkey BOP (Balance Of Plant) for the plant, assembled the main components purchased by the Client and together coordinated the various stages of the project so as to guarantee the overall functioning and performance of the plant.

    The project had two sequential stages:

    Stage 1 – open cycle
    Stage 2 – combined cycle
    Activites included:

    - Civil, mechanical, electro-instrumental engineering and automation
    - Supply of components and BOP materials
    - Pre-fabrication, factory testing and inspections
    - On-site construction of all civil engineering works
    - assembling and start-up assistance of main appliances supplied by the customer:
    gas turbine (GE LM 6000)
    "once through" steam generator (IST)
    condensation steam turbine (GE Oil & Gas Thermodyn)
    - mechanical and electro-instrumental assembling related to the BOP

    - BOP Commissioning and start-up assistance for main equipment provided by the client
    - Performance testing
    - Client staff training
